Hello! I’m SO SO happy you’re here! I’m Ali Ashton, a Minnesota-based wedding and elopement photographer with a heart for storytelling and a passport always ready. I travel across Minnesota and worldwide to capture love in its most genuine form, from the big moments to the in-between magic.

On the wedding day, she captured EVERY heartfelt detail and emotional moment, exceeding all expectations. Receiving our photos was like reliving the day over and over- and before their expected delivery date. She managed to catch my oldest sons, about to walk me down the aisle, each fixing my veil and train perfectly while I’m catching tears. She perfectly captured the sheer joy we felt that day over and over again. I can not say enough good things about Ali’s work both behind the scenes and behind the camera. She is a gem and we would recommend her to any and everyone!!

We worked with Ali on taking engagement photos this year, and couldn't have asked for a better experience! She is very communicative, warm and welcoming. My fiance and I are not big 'picture people' and are very unserious, so we were nervous about taking photos. Ali made the session fun and really ensured we were comfortable and being ourselves! We received so many amazing photos, both beautifully posed and silly/candid. She really captured us as a couple, and we can't wait to have her as our wedding photographer as well!

Ali was so personable both prior and during the wedding! She was very well prepared and had me fill out a very detail photography list prior so no photos were missed the day of. I have already recommended her to many of my friends who need photos done for various occasions. She takes great photos and is well prepared the day of. Also very great with communication prior to the day with any questions you may have!

Ali was so bubbly and sweet it was hard to be nervous about how to pose for the camera, it felt like we were shooting with an old friend. Ali was very organized down to the smallest details, and we really appreciated the way she was able to make a couple feeling awkward about being in front of the camera feel so comfortable! We particularly loved Ali’s focus on candid shots, giving us prompts to allow us to show our true personalities which has translated into photos we will cherish forever. We highly recommend Ali for your photography needs!

Ali was so wonderful to work with! Kind, professional, great at working with people who aren't comfortable in front of a camera - she was exactly what we needed and we are obsessed with our photos! Day-of she kept everything organized, on time and non-intrusive. It never felt like we were "leaving to take photos" just that the photos were a part of the moment. Ali did my fiancé and I's anniversary session this fall and captured our proposal exactly a month later! Everything about both of those shoots was perfect. Ali is the sweetest to work with and truly knows how to capture your love on camera. She guides you through all the prompts and never makes you feel awkward in front of the camera. We even had our pup with us for both shoots and she had great poses to include him in as well.
